Finally... here's Number 3 from my China Series. I'm never really sure when a painting is finished. I'm sure a lot of painters have the same problem. The deadline for submission into The Latcham Gallery's Juried Exhibition prompted my decision to "just get it done!". This painting, started during a course that I recently took, is again based on experiences from a trip to China. I was struck by the dichotomy of the old and new China. Technology is running ahead at a great rate while the people on the ground are living much as they have done for centuries. A high speed train running on a magnetically-induced cushion runs overhead while several generations share a motorcycle with little regard for safety in a painting titled "Mass Transit".
