Abstraction as a Kick-Start

“I understand abstract art as an attempt to feed imagination with a world built through the basic sensations of the eyes.” (Jean Helion)

In an attempt to kick-start my painting after time spent away from the easel, I thought I would try an abstract. It morphed into a landscape, for me a comfort zone. All in all, by using some ‘jewel-tone’ colours, I have succeeded in stepping away from that comfort zone. It was fun and has been just the thing I needed. Who knows what else I might do moving forward? Stay tuned :-)
