Last year, I drove past this lonely house, standing in the middle of an area being "shaved" for new housing. It was surrounded by a chain link fence meant to protect it from the activity going on around it. I went back a few days later to paint it. As I was completing this study, a storm blew in and I was just able to capture its approach and make it to the car before the rain struck. The title Incarcerated seemed fitting. I am pleased to report that the house is not only being restored, but added to almost doubling its size. My good friend Colin Whitebread suggested another painting was in order, titled Liberated. Maybe a diptych? Stay tuned!
