Colour and Shapes

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way – things I had no words for. (Georgia O’Keefe)

As the saying goes... “and now for something completely different.” My good friend Colin Whitebread (colinwhitebread.blogspot.ca), a talented painter and educator, has been threatening for years to get me to cut loose. I have given him the opportunity by taking one of his classes. This is my first exercise painting acrylics in flat colour. I was taken by the changeable weather on a trip to Ireland this past May. They say that if you don’t like the weather... wait a minute. The bright sun follows the rain.
