Finally, as the summer was on the wane, I had an opportunity to do some plein air painting. We visited our son at a cabin on Lake Kushog in the Haliburton Highlands. The cabin was part of a retreat and conference centre. Just in front of the cabin was a point of rock that held a lovely pine tree that swayed in the breeze and echoed the current in the water below, begging to be painted. I couldn’t resist.
