We’ve all suffered through it. That block. It was early one fine summer morning in the quaint little town of Trinity in Newfoundland. My wife and best friend Margaret knew exactly what she wanted to paint. As she set up I sat down next to her in a bit of a funk. “Do you know what you are going to paint?” she asked. The answer was no. Then I turned my chair 90 degrees and... there it was! An older home, backlit with a picket fence in the foreground and as I looked at the sky, which I often look to to set the tone for a watercolour sketch, there was the fence echoed in the high clouds! Life is good!!!
