At the Edge of Town

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls. (Pablo Picasso)

On the eastern edge of our town, past the last of the shops and service stations, lies a lovely small farm with lots of out-buildings including a covered corn crib. These are all painted a quiet, peaceful green. It invokes a serenity when I drive by. I had the opportunity to spend some time there painting a few years ago. I just came upon my half-finished watercolour and decided it was time to complete it and share it with others. It will be interesting to see if their reaction is the same as mine.
